Christmas Party Band in London

Festive live music to get the room singing + dancing

Snax.band are a 9-piece Christmas party band based in South London, playing festive classics, jazz, rock, pop and crowd-pleasing party tunes for office Christmas parties, corporate Christmas parties and end-of-year celebrations across London.

  • No sad Bluetooth speaker in the corner.
  • No awkward office party where everyone leaves after one polite drink.
  • No Christmas playlist doing all the emotional heavy lifting.

Just live music, festive energy and familiar songs from a London function band built to help the room loosen up, sing along and send the year out with a proper festive send-off.

Whether you’re planning an office Christmas party, a company celebration, a private festive event or a full end-of-year knees-up, the goal is simple: make it feel like a proper party, not just a Thursday with tinsel!

Christmas parties are strangely easy to undercook

The ingredients are all there.

A venue. Food. Drinks. Decorations. People who’ve been quietly counting down to the end of the year since the clocks went back.

So far, so festive…

Everything looks ready

But the party never gets out of the wrapping paper.

Decorations are up. Drinks are poured. Everyone is still standing with the same three colleagues.

It stays in that odd halfway place:

  • festive, but not lively
  • busy, but not actually fun
  • polite, but not relaxed
  • expensive, but oddly forgettable
  • and, like everyone is waiting for permission to stop being professional

A playlist can fill the silence. It can even bring the sleigh bells.

But it can’t turn “office drinks with decorations” into a proper end-of-year celebration.

And that’s where a live Christmas party band can make a real difference.

Bring in a 9-piece London party band built for festive chaos

Snax.band brings female vocals, a four-piece live horn section and a full rhythm section to songs people actually know.

That means a group of experienced musicians working together to create the kind of full live sound that gets people involved.

  • We’re not background music pretending to be Christmas entertainment.
  • We’re not a polite acoustic act slowly disappearing behind the canapés…
  • …and we’re definitely not a playlist called, “Office Xmas Bangers Final FINAL v3”!

We’re a 9-piece function band for Christmas parties that need proper energy: festive songs, party classics, live horns, familiar tunes and enough movement to get people away from the edges of the room.

Think Christmas spirit, but with a rhythm section.

Live music for Christmas parties and festive events

Snax.band works well for Christmas parties where the music needs to do more than sit politely in the background.

We’re a great fit for:

Office/corporate Christmas parties

Live music for the annual event where people finally stop talking about quarterly targets and remember that they’re allowed to enjoy themselves!

Private Christmas parties

For festive gatherings where you want something more memorable than a playlist, but less alarming than making guests organise their own entertainment.

Awards nights and end-of-year celebrations

For that moment after speeches, awards, thank-yous and “just a few words” from senior leadership, when the room is finally ready to loosen its Christmas jumper.

Festive dinners and drinks receptions

A smaller jazz or Christmas carols setup can work well earlier in the evening for drinks, dinner or smoother background music before the full band puts the star on top later.

Big London Christmas and New Year events

If you want your party to feel large, lively and energetic, the full 9-piece band gives the room scale. Less background sparkle, more Christmas tree fully switched on.

The exact setup depends on your venue, timings and what kind of festive event you’re planning.

But, the aim is always the same: live music that helps people cut loose, get involved and greet the end of the year in style.

Christmas songs, party classics or both?

Most Christmas parties need Christmas songs (who knew?).

But they probably don’t need 3 hours of wall-to-wall festive music unless you want guests leaving with sleigh bells permanently etched into their nervous systems.

The best Christmas party set lists usually mix Christmas classics with well-known party tunes.

You get the Christmas feeling when it matters, without turning the whole night into a shopping-centre soundtrack in December (we like Mariah; we just don’t think she’s a 3-hour strategy).

Here’s what’s on offer:

  • Christmas classics for the big festive sing-along moments.
  • Jazz, swing and/or Christmas carols for drinks, dinner or a smoother start to the evening.
  • Funk, groove and disco touches to keep the rhythm moving.
  • Rock and pop favourites for broad appeal and mixed crowds.
  • Crowd-pleasing party songs for the bit where people finally stop pretending they’re “just here for one drink”!
  • A few surprises for the right crowd, because sometimes the correct Christmas choice is slightly ridiculous (and everyone knows it).

We’re not here to prove how obscure our taste is.

We’re here to play songs people recognise, arrange them with proper live-band energy and help the room feel like it has permission to become a party!

The right festive balance

Enough Christmas to feel festive. Enough party music to survive January.

Christmas classics

Festive sing-alongs and seasonal moments

Party favourites

Rock, pop, funk, disco and crowd classics

Jazz and swing / Christmas carols

Drinks, dinners and smoother arrivals

A gentler way to begin

Looking for something more festive?

Sometimes a full 9-piece party band isn’t the right way to start the evening.

Perhaps guests are still arriving. Maybe people are enjoying drinks before dinner. Or, perhaps you’re looking for someting that feels unmistakably Christmassy without immediately filling the dance floor.

Also available

A smaller horn section playing Christmas carols and festive favourites

Live brass for arrivals, drinks receptions and the lower-key part of the evening.

Think less “office disco”…

…and more, “the moment you walk into Covent Garden in December.”

Welcome guests properly

Add live festive atmosphere while people arrive, get a drink and settle into the evening.

Make the event feel unmistakably Christmassy

Carols and festive favourites bring seasonal character without demanding the dance floor immediately.

Build naturally into the full band

Start with live brass, then bring in the full Snax.band lineup when it’s time to turn up the energy.

1

Festive fanfare

Horns, carols and Christmas favourites while guests arrive.

2

Full party band

Vocals, rhythm section, four horns and the dance floor properly underway.

Sometimes all a Christmas party needs is a little festive fanfare before the party begins.

Professional setup without adding another Christmas headache

By the time you’re organising a Christmas party, you probably already have enough on your plate.

Venue. Food. Timings. Guest list. Speeches. Access. Dietary requirements. Someone asking if the venue has a cloakroom, or if the party can simultaneously be both classy and “a bit mental”.

The band shouldn’t become another conspicuously heavy present under the tree.

With Snax.band, you won’t need to arrange much separately.

We bring what we need to perform, including:

What we bring

  • instruments (inc. drum kit, keyboard, amplifiers)
  • microphones/clip mics
  • full sound system, including mixing desk and front-of-house speakers
  • stage lighting
  • all the cabling you can imagine

All we need

  • a source of power
  • access for setup
  • space for the band
  • space to park a van nearby

You don’t need to arrange…

  • a separate sound engineer
  • a separate band PA
  • extra cabling
  • separate microphones
  • a separate lighting setup for the band

We’re here to make it as easy as possible. Let us know what you’re hoping to achieve with your event and we’re going to remove as much of the mystery as possible.

Why book Snax.band for your Christmas party?

That’s simple: a great Christmas party needs more than music!

It needs energy, timing, familiarity, professionalism, and a band that understands the room.

Here’s what makes us different:

A 9-piece live band

…gives the event scale and presence, so the party feels like a proper end-of-year celebration rather than background music in a decorated room.

Female vocals, rhythm section and live horns

…create a full live sound, so the music feels energetic, warm and genuinely performed.

Christmas songs and party classics

…give the set festive flavour without making the whole night feel like a novelty act.

A broad repertoire

…helps with mixed-age, mixed-team crowds, so more guests have a way into the music.

Full band or smaller jazz/carols setup

…gives you options, so drinks, dinner and dancing can feel connected rather than stitched together.

Self-contained sound and lighting setup

…reduces organiser chaos, so you have fewer suppliers to worry about and fewer technical details to manage.

Room-first performance

…keeps the focus on guest engagement, so the band supports the party without hijacking it.

The best Christmas entertainment should not feel like something bolted on after the venue was booked.

It should help the evening feel like a proper end-of-year celebration!

How much does it cost to hire Snax.band for a Christmas party?

The cost depends on the lineup, location, timings, setup and what you need across the event.

As an indicator, here are some of our base prices, which vary based on the details of the specific event.

Up to 1 hour

£1,875

Full 9-piece band

Up to 3 hours

£2,500

Full 9-piece band

Every full-band booking includes…

  • PA equipment for the whole event
  • band lighting
  • up to 2 new song arrangements, where it works for the band

The price doesn’t rise neatly by the hour because the process of getting the band/equipment to and from the gig, then setting up and packing down, is the same irrespective of how long the set is.

In other words, you aren’t just paying for “an hour of music”; you’re booking the sleigh, the reindeer, the elves, the presents and someone sensible enough to make sure it all arrives at the right place at the right time.

If you’re booking more than one setup—for example, a smaller jazz/carols setup for drinks or dinner, followed by the full band later—we’ll price that as a single joined-up booking rather than treating each part like a totally separate event.

We also like supporting charity and goodwill events where we can. If your Christmas event is raising money for a good cause, mention it when you enquire and we’ll let you know whether a goodwill rate is possible.

Send us your date, venue and rough timings and we’ll give you a quote based on the actual event—not something pulled out of a Christmas cracker.

Yes. We can include Christmas classics alongside our usual jazz, funk, rock, pop and party repertoire.

The exact balance depends on the event. Some rooms want a proper festive set; others want a few Christmas songs mixed into a broader party set.

Both work well. All we’ll advise against is three straight hours of sleigh bells unless you want your guests to be humming “Last Christmas” well into February.

Yes. A smaller jazz setup can work well for drinks, dinner, networking or background music earlier in the evening.

The full 9-piece band is best for the main party set, for dancing and for the higher-energy part of the night.

Yes. We bring our own PA system, microphones, mixing desk, speakers, cabling and stage lighting.

You usually won’t need to arrange a separate sound engineer, band PA or microphones.

Please mention this when you enquire so we can factor it into the setup and timings.

Absolutely. During intermissions or after the live set finishes, our speakers can be used for a playlist.

A great way to fill the silence between sets. Not so great as the main event!

Yes. If your event involves a planner, venue contact or production team, let us know. We can discuss timings, access, space, setup requirements and any venue restrictions in advance.

For the full band, we’ll normally need access to the performance space at least 90 minutes before we play.

That gives us time to set up the instruments, run cabling, check the sound system and make sure everything is working as desired.

Packing down is usually faster; we’ll normally be clear about an hour after we finish playing.

Yes, up to £5 million.

Many venues ask for proof of insurance before confirming live entertainent, so please mention any required documentation when you enquire. We can then make sure the practical bits are covered early.

Send us the date, venue or location, event type and rough timings through the enquiry form.

We’ll check availability and come back with anything else we need to know.
